Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the
light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in
darkness, but shall have the light of life. The Pharisees
therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy
record is not true. Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I
bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know
whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I
come, and whither I go. Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but
I and the Father that sent me. It is also written in your law,
that the testimony of two men is true. I am one that bear witness
of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
(John 8:12-18)

Music: "Vox Dilecti," John Dykes, 1868.
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Come unto Me and
rest;
Lay down, thou weary one, lay down Thy head upon My
breast.”
I came to Jesus as I was, weary and worn and sad;
I found in Him a resting place, and He has made me glad.
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Behold, I freely give
The living water; thirsty one, stoop down, and drink, and
live.”
I came to Jesus, and I drank of that life giving stream;
My thirst was quenched, my soul revived, and now I live in
Him.
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “I am this dark world’s
Light;
Look unto Me, thy morn shall rise, and all thy day be
bright.”
I looked to Jesus, and I found in Him my Star, my Sun;
And in that light of life I’ll walk, till traveling days are
done.
