Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy
pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light
in the way wherein they should go. Thou camest down also upon
mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them
right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:
And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them
precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:
And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and
broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst,
and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land
which thou hadst sworn to give them. (Nehemiah
9:11-15)
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses
gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the
true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh
down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they
unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto
them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never
hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (John
6:32-35)

Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah,
Pilgrim through this barren land.
I am weak, but Thou art mighty;
Hold me with Thy powerful hand.
Bread of heaven, bread of heaven,
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more.
Open now the crystal fountain,
Where the living waters flow;
Let the river of salvation,
Follow all the desert through.
Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer,
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield;
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield.
Lord, I trust Thy mighty power,
Wondrous are Thy works of old;
Thou deliver'st Thine from thraldom,
Who for nought themselves had sold:
Thou did'st conquer, Thou did'st conquer,
Sin, and Satan and the grave,
Sin, and Satan and the grave.
When I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of death and hell's destruction,
Land me safe on Canaan's side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises,
I will ever give to Thee;
I will ever give to Thee.
Musing on my habitation,
Musing on my heav'nly home,
Fills my soul with holy longings:
Come, my Jesus, quickly come;
Vanity is all I see;
Lord, I long to be with Thee!
Lord, I long to be with Thee!
